Client
The St. Louis River Alliance is a non-profit, membership organization working to restore, protect and enhance the St. Louis River, Lake Superior’s largest U.S. tributary. They are based in the heart of Canal Park in Duluth, MN.
Requirements
The SLRA was wanting to create a new website that was highly visual to help with the goal increase their membership base. They also wanted to create a series of videos to not only increase membership but to tell their organizations story and to highlight some of their successes and current projects.
Solution
After some discussion and downloading the SLRA’s needs we developed a template for the new website where the video and photo content would help create an emotional response for visitors of the new site and would allow folks to see the river in a way that many had not seen it before.

Brand-Story Video
Increasing membership was a top-priority in the SLRA’s 2020 marketing plan so in addition to telling the story of the SLRA the CTA of the video was to “Become a member”.
Photos
Our photos were used to populate the SLRA’s new website we helped design, social media, email campaigns, future blog posts and more.
Board Member / Staff Portraits
In addition to photos of the river and users interacting with it we wanted to capture portraits of all staff and board members for their bios on their “Our Team” page of the website.

Website
The final website turned out great - it’s highly visual, easy to navigate and does a fantastic job at sharing the story of the river and the SLRA’s role in protecting, restoring and enhancing it. Below you can get a sample of the website and the short teaser video we created for the homepage.
